What’s On at Park Avenue Church
There’s something happening most days at Park Avenue Church, and you are very welcome to be part of it. From Sunday services to midweek groups and children’s activities, our programme is all about growing in faith, building friendships, and sharing life together.
Whether you’re exploring Christianity, looking for community, or searching for something for your children, we’d love to welcome you along.
Sunday Services
11.30am & 6.30pm
Our Sunday services are at the heart of church life. We come together to worship God, hear teaching from the Bible, pray, and encourage one another.
The morning and evening services are similar in structure, with the evening service having a more informal feel. Both services are relaxed, friendly, and welcoming to people of all ages and backgrounds.
Children’s Church runs at both services for children aged 3–12 years.
There is also a crèche area, which parents are welcome to use; however, it is not supervised, so parents remain responsible for their own children.
Practical information:
- Services last around 1 hour
- No dress code – come as you are
- Wheelchair accessible
- Hearing loop system available
- Limited on-site parking
Park Avenue Toddlers (Monday)
10.00am | Term-time only
Park Avenue Toddlers is a friendly, relaxed group for parents, carers, and young children to spend time together.
It is open to all families in the community, not just those connected with the church. Parents stay with their children throughout the session.
The group is suitable for babies through to around 4–5 years old and includes:
- Free play with toys
- Songs
- Snack time
- Space for parents and carers to chat and connect
There is no cost to attend.
Friendship Club (Tuesday)
12.00pm | Breaks for the summer
Friendship Club is a welcoming midweek gathering for adults. While it is traditionally attended by older people, all adults are very welcome.
The focus is on friendship and community, and a typical session includes:
- Tea, coffee, and lunch
- Conversation and games
- A short talk or devotional
There is no cost to attend, although special events may occasionally have a small charge.
Prayer & Bible Study (Wednesday)
8.00pm | Bell Hall
This midweek gathering is open to everyone, whether you are new to church or have been attending for years.
The evening includes:
- Bible teaching
- A time of prayer together
It’s a welcoming space to learn, ask questions, and pray alongside others in a supportive environment.
J.A.M Club (Friday)
6.30pm | Term-time only
J.A.M Club (which stands for Jesus And Me) is a lively, fun, and engaging club for children.
It is a drop-off club and is completely free to attend.
Children are grouped by age:
- Little J.A.M – Age 3 to end of P1
- Junior J.A.M – P2 and P3
- Senior J.A.M – P4 to P7
Evenings include games, activities, and learning about the Christian faith in an age-appropriate way.
